New Appointment at Hooke & MacDonald
Donald MacDonald has joined Hooke & MacDonald as Property Investment Manager. Donald is a chartered accountant and he holds a degree in Accounting and Human Resource Management from the National College of Ireland. He arrives with extensive experience in the financial and property investment sectors through previous roles at Grant Thornton Accountants and Anglo Irish Bank (Lending Ireland).
Donald’s role in Hooke & MacDonald will include the setting up and development of a strategy for private clients to invest in commercial and residential property, to further improve the company’s links with financial institutions and investment companies and to co-ordinate business development and contact with existing and new clients.
Hooke & MacDonald is one of the few remaining Irish owned property firms, having been founded over 40 years ago. It has become one of the leading estate agents in the country for both commercial & residential property – new home sales and lettings.
Hooke & MacDonald has played a key role in the development and regeneration of Dublin and other urban centres. The company pioneered apartment living from the 1970’s as a solution to many of the country’s housing problems.
The commercial department of the company has grown steadily in recent years and has been involved in a number of significant office and retail sales & lettings and also has dealt with land transactions totalling over €1 billion in the last 3 years.
Hooke & MacDonald has played a key role in many of the largest projects undertaken in Ireland over the past four decades including Temple Bar, Smithfield, Dublin Docklands re-development, Phoenix Park Racecourse, Spencer Dock and the re-development of Sandyford.
New appointments at Owen Reilly
Owen Reilly has announced the appointment of Mary Pullan and Shane Doyle to his team. O’Reilly commented:

New Directors for Lisney – Belfast
Commercial property agency Lisney has made three appointments to its management team. Damian Mitchell becomes a director in the company’s investment department, whilst Nicky Finnieston and Ciaran O’Kane become associate directors in its agency and management departments respectively.
Lisney managing director, Declan Flynn, says: “Our portfolio of clients has grown s in the last few years and Damian, Ciaran and Nicky have played an extremely important role in the ongoing development of the company. Damian joined the management team as an associate director in 2006 and we are delighted that he now becomes a full director.”

Damian Mitchell has worked for Lisney since graduating from the University of Ulster in 2000 and was previously an associate director with the company. He has significant experience advising private and institutional investors on sales and acquisitions across the UK and in Europe.
Nicky Finnieston joined Lisney in October 2006, having spent six years as associate director with Christie & Co working in Glasgow and London. Nicky specialises in retail agency and advises both retailers and landlords alike on the sale, acquisition and letting of retail premises and schemes throughout Northern Ireland.
Ciaran O’Kane joined Lisney in 2004 shortly after graduating from the University of Ulster. Ciaran has developed a wide range of experience during his time with Lisney and now specialises in property and asset management. Currently he manages a variety of properties across Northern Ireland and the UK on behalf of private Irish clients and institutional investors. These include shopping centres, office blocks and mixed-use developments.
